ULTRA CLA DMI is an ultra-concentrated and completely stimulant-free formula based on safflower oil with a concentration of 80% CLA (conjugated linoleic acid).
Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a family of isomers of linoleic acid, which is an essential fatty acid of the omega 6 series, i.e., the body has to obtain it through the diet.
The mechanism by which CLA decreases body fat is: CLA produces a blockage in the transport of fats to adipose cells. This is because CLA inhibits the function of the LPL (lipoprotein lipase) enzyme, and at the same time, favors the lipolysis of fats via beta-oxidation in the mitochondria, which is the organ of the cell in charge of cellular respiration and energy production. CLA helps to increase the transport of fats to the mitochondria so they can be oxidized there.
On the other hand, CLA increases the activity of the enzyme CPT (carnitine palmitoin transferase). This enzyme is present in the muscle, and is the one that transports fats to the mitochondria so that they can be used there as fuel, thus favoring the increase in muscle mass. Physical activity stimulates the transport of fat to the muscle cell to be oxidized. This is the reason why in the absence of physical activity CLA does not produce the same effects.
